Hey all.
I thought we could have a talk about what your habits are like.
Do any of you here smoke or drink or anything of the sort?
Im 15, and I've taken a vow by myself never to do either smile.gif. I know the scienctific part of it all and that's just nasty when you think about that sort of stuff happening in your body. My parents smoke, but i hate it. I don't drink because its a personal choice not to. I sometimes get stick from my mates for it but I laugh it off biggrin.gif

What about you guys?

Whirly..

I don't drink or smoke.
To do either (drinking to the degree of getting drunk) would defeat the whole philosophy behind parkour.

I have never smoked. When I was young and my friends were smoking, I was a bit lacking in willpower but I was fortunate in having asthma which provided enough extra motivation to avoid it. By the time my asthma disappeared, I could resist without needing another excuse.

I never drank any alcohol until I went to university, because although some of my friends drank before then I could easily avoid it through the sheer impossibility of buying alcohol or getting into clubs, through being small and looking young (I hold the dubious distinction of being refused entry to a 15 rated film at the age of 18).
At university I experienced the pull of wanting to fit into a social group and drank reasonable amounts fairly regularly (not every day, but once or twice a week) for a few years, and to excess several times. As is the case for most people of that age, I knew it was a bad idea but the social pressures outweighed common sense in me at the time. I was never a big drinker by anyone's standards, but even some is more than none.
I continued to drink lesser amounts until I took up parkour, where the sudden realisation of being in control of myself, and a better understanding of what I needed in order to be happy, reminded me that I didn't need alcohol in any amount or situation, so without making any pledges I simply stopped drinking alcohol. It's not a commitment, but it doesn't need to be.

Don't smoke never will, it repulses me.

I do drink, but very rarely and only at parties. Apart from that I don't drink. I concentrate on keeping healthy through Parkour and diet etc.
I'm 16.

Dont smoke and never will, its horrible, i dont understand how people can poison themselves. Ofcourse alcohol isnt very good too. But in small doses its ok. I drink at times but rarely. At bdays or parties. But i dont drink too much. You have to set a line

I am 15 also my uncle died of skin cancer but he also had lung cancer from smoking that was enough cause for me to stay away.I have never drunken large amount just tried it but i never did like it.I am pretty sure my father is going to die of lung cancer he quit for a year but started up agian and my older brother has been smoking since 13 so I think I can say I have had enough smoke from them to last a lifetime. It isnt a very pretty thing what smoking can do to you.Just remember you dont always die from tobacco sometimes it is worse.

I used to drink a lot, too much. Now i drink the same amount, but i can handle it =P
So i drink enough ( 3 times/week)
I smoke, i'm quiting that the 21st of juli, it's so hypocritical it can't be true, but i smoke.
I do drugs, i smoke pod about once a week, depends on the others, since we buy with 4 people, we smoke with 4 people, sort of security system.
I drink, coz i like it, i smoke to destress sometimes and i do drugs coz it's a freaking laugh all of the time.
oww, so i'm 16
